Well at least the masses within a short drive. That’s what we were thinking when we purchased this 1950 Dodge Route van that we found in Sheridan WY. We wanted a truck that would stand out and not look like all the other boxy food trucks, there isn’t a square corner on this thing.
Our plan is to get the body cleaned up and painted / wrapped to look like the “dream”. Initially, we’ll be using it to haul stuff around for the farm including delivery of produce to the Pub. Long term we’d like to add the equipment to make a full fledged food truck . We get asked all the time to be at various civic events, brew houses, or to cater private parties. When it was delivered it would not start so we’ve finally got it running but now it won’t stop. We do have the brand new 4” white wall wheels, so anyone who knows anything about the brakes on a 1950 Dodge B truck give us a call.
Back on the farm.
The team got together and planned this year's crops. We're focused on lettuce, thyme, rosemary, chives, kale, celery, parsley, peppers, leeks, chard, tomatoes, beets, carrots, potatoes, basil, oh, and microgreens! OK, so we may be a tad ambitious for the first year. Beth has the seeds germinating at home. Weather dependent we hope to make the beds in late March early April.
On the construction front, the driveway was put in so the builder was able to dig out the foundation, construction has started!
